If you had only one day in Napa/Sonoma, which wineries would you visit and why? - sonoma winery map

I think I want to visit a winery in Sonoma in the morning and maybe 2 hours in Napa. Thank you.

So, if you do, Sonoma and Napa in a day .... I would to images that are in the vicinity of Glen Ellen, not far from Napa. He has some great wines and images are interesting works on the walls. Make sure you enter the tasting room, only members (who do not care) and be informed about the art on the walls.

I make reservations for lunch at the Auberge du Soleil. Alfresco dining overlooking the vineyard-covered hills. It is a beautiful view and delicious food.

Then I went to Silver Oak ... Which is just one wine per year, a wonderful Cabernet Sauvignon. Hess Collection would be my next stop. They have a large taxi and Chardonnay and in a wooded area. They have an extraordinary Museum of Modern Art is free.

When there is time, I would like to end the day at Domaine Carneros. Seated at a table on the terrace and a spectacular view over the valley, while sipping champagne and eating fabulous cheeses and fruit.

I can not resist the first reply. But if you are the larger, better-known wineries stick, try to Kendall-Jackson, north of Santa Rosa in Sonoma. Then go to Domaine Chandon and Robert Mondavi in Napa. If you're new to wine, his tours are good. The best way to Northern Sonoma County, Napa County, northeast of Mark West Springs Road / Porter Creek Road to Petrified Forest Road Trail in St. Helena, Calistoga.

Now, with more unusual options:
A good choice in Sonoma County is the center of Healdsburg. Many wineries or tasting rooms, not so you can hit within several blocks of 2-3. And the center of Healdsburg is a nice place.

My favorite wineries in Sonoma County (where I live, so I know it's better than Napa) are in the area of Dry Creek, which is absolutely beautiful. Take the Dry Creek Road west of 101, Healdsburg. If you would like Zin, Dry Creek area is known to test Wilson and Mazzocco Dry Creek Road and Ridge Road near Canyon. Try for a great place to taste the wine, Dutcher Crossing Winery in Dry Creek Road.

Ifbest for you in the southern Sonoma County to remain a vineyard that is in Madrone Moon Valley road north of the town of Sonoma. You can cross from Napa, Sonoma County, along the route, at 12th

If you want a very adventurous album (albeit very cobbled) and good, between Sonoma County and Napa, take the Trinity Street / Oakville Grade Road between Kenwood and Oakville.

Have a great time. Tastings and tours are now free, therefore expect to fall 5.10 persons for each location. Some sites the credit policy of tax on a purchase.

I think the best way to enjoy your car is to improvise, too. I do not think anyone can go wrong .... Know the region, but also that you want to enter in advance planning, I suggest you make an appointment at:

It is in Sonoma. Great wine and a small family business.
